The Experience Behind UpstreamCFO
I’m Elaine, founder of UpstreamCFO and an Licensed CPA. I began in public accounting, working with traditional businesses. Later, as Head of Finance at a VC-backed Series B company, I built the financial models, reporting workflows, automation, and AI tools the business needed as it grew.
That combination matters because financial advice alone is often not enough. Someone still has to understand how the business operates, improve the process behind the numbers, and help the people doing the work use the change.
Helping a traditional business owner improve his back office brought those experiences together. That became the model for UpstreamCFO: understand the numbers, build around the team already in place, and help turn better information into better decisions.
